Gift Guide for the Strong, Powerful, and Inspiring Women in Your Life

Are you a last minute shopper? Perhaps you try to shop early, but you can’t find that perfect gift and before you know it there is only two weeks until Christmas. When it comes to finding gifts for my friends and family, I listen to what they say they want or need throughout the year. I start mentally compiling a list which usually ends up either on paper or in my notes on my phone or computer. However, there are a few people where you just don’t know what to get them – perhaps they have everything and you don’t want to get them another useless gift that will sit in the back of their closet. Maybe they deserve more than what you can afford, but you still want to try to find that perfect gift.

Since my college days, I have surrounded myself with amazing women that deserve the world. I have immersed myself into the group, albeit large, of women that have made it their mission to empower women and change the world. Let me tell you, I have never been more inspired or hopeful than I have in the past couple of years. We, as a collective, are changing the world and it is truly a beautiful and inspiring thing. Buying gifts for these women can be intimidating because they deserve it all. If they are out there changing the world, how can a gift measure up to that.

I have come to the conclusion that if these strong, powerful, and inspiring women are changing the world, they aren’t doing it just for themselves, but more so for others. They are selfless people. Because of this, no gift can be too small. You’re thinking of them and that is what matters. This gift guide is to help you find a gift for those strong, powerful, inspiring girls or women in your life.

    1. Look at that! Yet another reason to say we share the same brain. People always ask what I did in college and I say “I became a feminist”. It intimidates people sometimes, but it is certainly true.

      1. To me, it can be intimidating in the sense that “Holy shit. These women are changing the world. How can I ever measure up to that?” But then I have to remember that I too am changing the world. Maybe not in the same sense as some of the celebrities, but my voice means something. Your voice means something. The next woman’s voice means something. Unless one is truly not contributing to society in anyway, then they too are changing the world. You’re right – it most definitely is not very well understood. However, in my opinion, there isn’t a better -ism to be a part of.
